The Palatine Piano Trio performs in the Agnes Flanagan Chapel featuring Susan DeWitt Smith on piano, Nancy Ives on cello, and Inés Voglar Belgique on violin.

The concert showcases music of composers from the Pacific Northwest and Northern California, including trios by Gabriela Lena Frank, David Schiff, Nancy Ives and Ernest Bloch. David Schiff’s New York Nocturnes are deliciously jazzy in nature, Gabriela Frank’s Four Folk Songs for piano trio draw from the melodies and rhythms of her mother’s homeland, Perú, and Bloch’s music evokes the stormy, windswept Oregon Coast. Cellist and composer Nancy Ives will speak about the inspirations for her own music.
